The Fellowship Baptist Church Children’s Choir is for children from Kindergarten thru 6th grade. We meet on Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm until 7:45pm from the Wednesday after Labor Day until the last Wednesday in May. Our children present two musicals each year, one at Christmas and one in the Spring.
These musicals are typically presented on the third Sunday evening in December and on the first Sunday evening in June. We also have opportunities to share periodically during the Sunday morning worship service as well as at other church events. We have even ventured to Crabtree Valley Mall to share the “Good News of Christ’s Birth”!
Our children learn inspirational songs as well as drama in which they are encouraged to enjoy the music as well as understand the meaning behind the words. We use an overheard projector for the words of the music and drama.
By using this method, we open the door for more children to be a part and not feel pressured to memorize words. We also use repetition to help the children feel comfortable in both their singing and speaking parts.
Our goal is to build up and encourage our children while laying a foundation of love for our Lord and Savior! Children do not have to be members of Fellowship Baptist Church to attend our Children’s Choir.
