Chair Fitness meets twice a week. Monday mornings at 10:00 am and Thursday mornings at 10:00 am in the Ministry Center behind the main building.
Chair fitness, led by Patti Mooney is a low- impact exercise routine designed to improve strength, flexibility, and balance in adults with limited mobility, focusing on movements like arm circles, leg lifts, torso twists, and standing up from the chair, all while maintaining stability and minimizing the risk of falls; essentially, it allows seniors to stay active and exercise even with mobility concerns by utilizing a readily available support system like a chair. Some balance exercises are done while standing beside the chair. This a FREE class for all participants. |
